The Cardholder with Lanyard was originally a product we developed for Tocco Toscano and was designed to allow people to (fashionably) have their staff access or other relevant cards hung around their neck. eg. stored-value public transport cards, office/condo access cards etc) so they did not have to fumble about in their bags or wallets for them.

Then I started thinking: there must be another way to achieve easy access for those who do not wish wear such a product around their neck. Soon after, I conceptualised the idea of creating attachment points on bags as the solution/substitute.

The Specter Cardholder with Lanyard is designed not only for the above-mentioned usage, but also attaches to 3 points on the Bond Travel Briefcase and Everyday Padfolio.

The exterior and bag strap attachments are obviously to allow for easy access. I decided to extend the idea and create an interior attachment for those that want to use it to store more valuable cards such as credit cards and Identification Cards. Note that due to the primary usage of product, it is currently the only small leather good that does not offer RFID blocking.
