Packaging An Experience
Before the product came the brand name and what kind of brand we wanted Faire Leather Co. to be. Naturally, this led to a long period of pre-planning for a lot of things when we first started.
One of the things that went through a long process was our packaging. Due to the costs we had to consider, we couldn’t go too crazy but that didn't stop Joe and I from being as attentive to detail as possible.
We want our customers to look forward to every aspect of the Faire experience, right from the point of receipt to the unboxing and eventual use of the product. We want our customers to understand that with Faire, you can always expect premium quality products packed with so much value.
In short, we intend for Faire to be an experience — that journey with us begins on your first purchase as each element was carefully planned.
Box
Despite the costs involved, this was a no-brainer for us. The navy blue box is a signature that we hope resonates with our customer along with the logo imprinted in silver foil. From the get-go, we wanted packaging that exude timeless elegance.
Tracing Paper
This was necessary because we wanted the unboxing of the product to unravel the different elements within layers.
Authenticity Card
At its core, Faire products are still made with the most premium materials and craftsmanship. The authenticity card ensures the quality of the product and that we are a brand to stay for many years to come.
Packaging Care Card
Amassing experience of over 30 years, it was important to curate a care card that detailed the amount of attention we put to our processes, the materials we use as well as the ways we recommend to care for the product.
Ribbon
For all your gifting moments, we included a matching ribbon to complement the perfect gift.
Dust Bag
Doubling as the final “layer" to the unboxing experience as well as to provide protection to the product when you store the product, we branded the dust bag with a simple off white base for consistency and a minimalistic feel.
Faire Brand Card
Commonly known as the wallet slot cards, most brands insert these cards as a placeholder with just the brand name printed. Our cards reflect our logo and information of our roots.

Finally, appreciation. All this is meaningless without our customers — Joe and I spent a considerable amount of time writing to express that. It details our vision for the brand and features a stamped batch number to indicate which batch of customers you’re from. As a start, the Specter collection represents the birth of our brand, hence opened with Batch 01. Its predecessor, The Bond Collection, is stamped with Batch 00.
Coming up with the details behind the brand isn’t easy because it takes discussions and constructive arguments before finally coming to an agreement (or compromise). This is what it means to be in a company where everyone’s opinions count for something and to also get used to an environment where it’s only natural to challenge, debate and ask questions.
Every element of Faire is planned out with the customer in mind and as a brand for the people, which will continue to be the way of things for us here at Faire.
